Surviving that, their second challenge forces them to escape the room featuring columns with laser spikes, while the third involves the deactivation of a ray shield using a serum deadly to all but one of them. The fourth challenge is a test of marksmanship before a final duel where the Jedi master ultimately refuses to kill his opponent, unlike when Obi-Wan granted Maul a quick death.

Nevertheless, Count Dooku still allowed the disguised Jedi to join those who survived for the assassination plot. While the Squid Game featured many more players than just the 13 bounty hunters who competed in The Box, the premise is still the same: competing in deadly challenges for the chance to collect an incredibly high reward.

The former Jedi fled the system and landed in an unmarked dwelling on Coruscant , greeted by the evil Darth Sidious. Dooku remained the face of the Separatist army, bringing war to planets across the galaxy. He also sought to undermine the Republic with a steady stream of propaganda sent over the information network known as the HoloNet , an effort that was opposed by Republic officers such as Wilhuff Tarkin.
